By donating to the Friends of the Marine Science Center, you are investing in the future of Florida's wildlife. Your donation will help to maintain and expand our growing facility and hospitals to accommodate existing and new wildlife intakes as well as resident animal ambassadors.

Sea Turtle Hospital
One of the main missions of the Marine Science Center is sea turtle rehabilitation, and the Marine Science Center complex includes a fully functioning animal hospital. Since opening in 2002, the sea turtle hospital at the Marine Science Center has cared for nearly 1,500 sea turtles ranging from juvenile to adult size; more than 20,000 sea turtle hatchlings and wash backs; and nearly 1,700 gopher tortoises, box turtles, freshwater turtles and snakes.
Shorebird Hospital
With the continued outbreak of Avian Flu, a highly contagious viral infection that occurs naturally in birds, the Marine Science Center Bird Hospital is having to make some serious and extensive changes to treat any birds. The team is dedicated to the safety of the animal ambassadors and is taking the outbreak very seriously. Any donation to the bird hospital will go to the care for current residents as well as creating and maintaining safe, designated areas for new intakes.
General Donation
The success of the Marine Science Center is dependent on your donations. Giving to the general fund allows us to support and maintain day to day operations. Fund and expand our education department. And feed our many residents in our beautiful aquariums, including stingrays, bamboo sharks, seahorses and more!

In Honor/ In Memory
A wonderful way to acknowledge and remember someone who appreciates the work of the Marine Science Center. Donations help fund the unexpected expenses incurred by the Marine Science Center for education, rehabilitation and general operating expense.
